Marion Back, age 77 years of Batesville, IN passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008 in Dillsboro, IN. Born February 28, 1931 in Jeremiah, KY he was the son of the late James & Cindy Back. He was a US Army Veteran of Korea and a retired meat cutter. He married Florine Smith in West Virginia on November 25, 1955. He was preceded in death by his wife Florine Back on June 16, 2008. Mr. Back is survived by his daughters Lana (Martin) Harmeyer & Tracy Back both of Batesville, IN & son James Michael (Nina) Back of Indianapolis, IN. He will also be missed by 8 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren; brothers Doug & Henry Back both of Milltown, OH & Bill Back of Jeremiah, KY. In addition to his wife & parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara (Dave) Stirn and six brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 5-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Todd Poynter officiating. Burial will be in Rossburg Cemetery in New Point, IN with military graveside rites. Memorials may be given to the family through the funeral home.
