Marjorie Frances Yorn, beloved wife of the late Lowell E. Yorn, loving mother of Kathy (Tim) Fullenkamp of Batesville; Kerry (Julie) Yorn of Hamilton, OH; Kirk (Ginny) Yorn of Batesville and Kendall (Cheryl) Yorn of Allen, TX; cherished grandmother of Emily (Josh) Bower, Matthew Fullenkamp, Rachel(Logan) Rose, and David, Garrett, Ian, Luke and Jake Yorn; and great grandmother of Ella and Evan Bower; dear sister of Irene Schutte of Greensburg, IN and Rita (Joe) Giesting of Batesville; passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville, Indiana at 76 years of age. Marjorie was born on October 8, 1936 in Batesville to Clem & Anna (nee: Berkemeier) Raver. In 1954 she graduated from the Immaculate Conception Academy and married Lowell E. Yorn in Oldenburg, IN on July 30, 1955. On June 1, 2003 Lowell passed away. Marjorie was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother Paul Raver and her sister Dolores Walke. The St. Louis Catholic Church member was a former President of the Church Ladies Society and a lifelong Batesville resident. She had retired from her position as secretary and bookkeeper at Lowell E. Yorn Accounting and as co-owner of Pizza Haus in Batesville. Marjorie liked to stay involved with her children. She was a past Den Mother and Girl Scout leader. She was a great supporter of her grandchildren as well, attending as many of their activities and sporting events as possible. She will be truly missed by all her family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 4-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home, 500 West Pearl St. Batesville, IN. Funeral Mass on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 10:00am at St. Louis Church, Batesville, IN with Fr. Randy Summers officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery, Oldenburg, IN. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimers Association or the Lowell Yorn Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o the funeral home.
