On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, Martha (Dirkhising) Harnishfeger, age 75, went home to be forever with the Lord Jesus Christ. She died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 25, 1947 in Batesville, Indiana. She graduated from the Immaculate Conception Academy in Oldenburg in 1965. She enjoyed music and dancing throughout her life as well as watching the birds at her many bird feeders. Martha loved to play cards and cook as well. Her family meant everything to her.

Martha was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Dirkhising, her mother Martha (Buckler) Dirkhising, her son Bobby Gabbard, and four of her seven siblings. She is survived by five children, Lisa McGuire of Milan, Eric Harnishfeger of Batesville, Andrew Harnishfeger of Brookville, Amanda Clegg of Batesville, and Theresa Weinstiger of Williamsburg, IN. She was the proud grandmother of sixteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Mother, rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord. Until we meet again. You will be missed.

A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's of the Rock Catholic Church with burial following immediately after. Please feel free to leave a memory or a message of comfort for Martha's family in the online guestbook.
