Mary Louise Lunsford, age 72 of Batesville, IN passed away Friday, June 2, 2017 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville, IN.  Born November 17, 1944 in Spades, IN she is the daughter of the late Louis & Frances (Riehle) Retzner.

She was a 1963 graduate of ICA and married Steve Lunsford in 1965 at St. Nicholas.  She is a member of St. Mary's of the Rock Church.  Mary was a homemaker but also worked for Hillcrest Country Club, Brau Haus and did some house cleaning.   Mary was an avid lottery scratch off player and Reds fan.  She was always the life of the party.  She was quit a joke teller, leaving everyone smiling & laughing.  In fact, she could cheer people up when they were feeling down.  Mary loved to dance and play cards.  She was a very loving & caring wife, mother, grandma & great grandma.  She will be dearly missed by many.

Mary is survived by her husband Steve Lunsford, children Jean Nichols (Jon) of Milan, IN and James Lunsford of Batesville.  She will also be missed by her grandchildren Jessica & Jarrod Nichols, Samantha, Colton & Ethan Lunsford along with her great grandchildren Jayden & Mackenzie Russell and her siblings Jo Ann Amberger of Sunman, IN, Sr. Alice Retzner of Kentucky, Louis Retzner Jr. of Sunman, IN and John Retzner of Sunman, IN.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Marlene Schoettelkotte.
