Mary Ellen Parr, age 87 of Sunman, Indiana passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025. The daughter of Harvey and Thelma (Fryman) Cherry was born on April 5, 1938 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Mary graduated from Guilford High School. She worked for over 30 years at the Scarlet Oak Retirement Home.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Parr; children, Jerry L. Winters, Jeffrey A. Winters, Jodie Rascoe and Jay H. Winters; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren along with her siblings, Barbie England and Larry Cherry.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Burma Vaughn and Harvey (Butch) Cherry.

Mary's wishes were to be cremated. There will be no services.
