Maurice F. Pickler, age 97 years of Batesville, IN formerly of Indianapolis, IN passed away Sunday, July 16, 2006 in Batesville, IN. Born June 18, 1909 in Indianapolis, IN he was the son of Barney & Lena (Pearl) McLermore. He retired from Allison Engineering Plant in Indianapolis. On January 15, 1930 he married Kathleen Long in Shelbyville, IN. Mr. Pickler was a member of First Church of the Nazarene of Indianapolis, Logan Lodge 575 F&AM for 74 years and then Batesville Lodge 668 F&AM. Mr. Pickler is survived by his son Gordon Pickler of Montgomery, AL and daughter Nancy Shotwell of Oldenburg, IN; 8 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren and brother Eugene Pickler of California. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Pickler, brother Donald Pickler and sister Katrina Monson & Irene King. Masonic Services will be Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at 8:30 AM followed by visitation from 9-11 A.M. Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN with Rev. David Johnston officiating. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis at 1:30 P.M.
