Michael "Mick" Mays, age 53 years of Batesville, IN passed away Saturday, November 19, 2005 at his home. Born September 16, 1952 in Delvena, KY he was the son of the late Brenton & Edra (Stanifer) Mays. He graduated from Batesville High School in 1971, drove a truck for Baylor and Straber Oil Co., was a classic car enthusiast and member of the Batesville Eagles #1130. He married Mary Fichtner on September 28, 1974 in Enochsburg, IN. Mr. Mays is survived by his wife Mary Mays, children M. Adam (Melissa) Mays of Flint, MI, Amber S. (Robert) McClain of Westport, IN and Abigail L. (Dustin) Meister of Flat Rock, IN ; grandchildren Caleb, Christian, Cole, Audrey & Olivia; sister Donna Brotherton of Brookville, IN and brothers Jack (Janet) Mays of Greenfield, IN, William Mays of Morris Hill, IN, Robert (Linda) Mays of Batesville, IN and Richard Mays of Lake Santee, IN. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 22, 2005 from 4-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 10:00am at Meyers Funeral Home with Pastor Jack Suits officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family c/o the funeral home.
