Michael Anthony Studt, of Sunman, Indiana passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026. The son of Richard and Patricia (Maturana) Studt was born on June 10, 1971. He was 54 years old, just shy of his 55th birthday.

Michael graduated from East Central High School. He then went on to pursue a degree from Highland University in Las Vegas, NM in anthropology and sociology.

Michael was fascinated with fossils and minerals and enjoyed teaching his children about them. He also cherished the time he spent reading and sharing Bible stories with his kids. If you knew Michael, you would know he loved to eat many types of foods, but BBQ from South Carolina and pizza were his favorites. Most importantly, Michael loved spending time with his kids. They will both miss him very much.

He is survived by his wife, Julie (McElveen) Studt; two children, Blake & Madelyn Studt; mother, Patricia Studt; his brother, Jason Studt; niece, Harper Studt and nephew, Dylan Studt. He is preceded in death by his father Richard Studt.

Cremation was chosen by the family. Friends and family may call from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville with a short memorial service at 4:15 p.m.

Memorials may be given to the family for the children by bringing to the services, or mailed to Meyers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 202, Batesville, IN 47006.
