Mildred Elizabeth Kops, of Batesville, IN, passed away Friday, May 15, 2009 at age 87. The daughter of the late Fred and Lorena (Einhaus) Narwold, was born March 29, 1922 in Batesville, IN. The 1940 graduate of Batesville High School, married John Kops on March 2, 1946 at Adams Church in Batesville. Mrs. Kops was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church Crossroads, the Ladies Aid ministry at church and Batesville Chapter #348 Order of the Eastern Star. After many years of service in the Batesville High School Cafeteria, she retired in 1984. Mrs. Kops is survived by her husband John; Two daughters, Carol Siebert of Batesville and Elaine (Eric) Bedel of Indianapolis; Four grandsons, Adam & Evan Bedel, Todd (Tina) & John (Jackie) Siebert; Three great granddaughters, Courtney Kiser, Stacey & Mikayla Siebert; and One brother Leonard Narwold of Batesville. She was preceded in death by her son Dennis Kops. Visitation will be Monday, May 18, 2009 from 5-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN, with Eastern Star Service at 7:30pm. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 19th, 10:00am at St. Paul Lutheran Church Crossroads in Batesville, IN with Pastor Robin Owen officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery.
