Mildred Morris, age 79 years of Harrison, OH passed away Thursday, May 11, 2006 at her home. Born September 27, 1926 in Harrison, OH she was the daughter of the late Howard & Margaret (Blasdel) Harper. She was a 1944 Harrison High School graduate. She married Gilbert "Gil" Morris on June 28, 1946 in Harrison, OH. She worked for US Shoe, was a cook at Harrison Elementary School for 20 years, a Girl Scout Leader, member of the card club and started the Friday night High School Football Team dinners. Mrs. Morris is survived by her children Deborah (Jerry) Sowders of Harrison, OH; Sandra (Lou) Minor of Harrison, OH; Diane (Phil Wright) Morris of Verona, KY and Carol (Bruce) Rosenberg of Harrison, OH; grandchildren Shawn (Misty) Sowders, Shane (Dawn) Sowders, Jamie (Janelle) Sowders, Ryanne Rosenberg, Kasi Rosenberg, Cory Rosenberg and Jackie Wright; great grandchildren Lacey, Josie, Madison, Jaylee, Logan and Jaydyn Sowders; brothers Robert (Betty) Harper of Bright, IN; Richard Harper of Remington, IN and James (Jane) Harper of Harrison, OH; sister Carol Duwel of Harrison, OH. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Mary Gulley and great grandson Lincoln Lee Sowders. Visitation will be Monday, May 15, 2006 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. followed by funeral services at 12:00 P.M. with Gary Lippert officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Cemetery in Harrison, OH. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home.
