Nancy Ellen Shotwell, age 72 years of Oldenburg, IN passed away Thursday, June 14, 2007 at her home. Born November 8, 1934 in Indianapolis, IN she was the daughter of the late Maurice & Kathleen (Long) Pickler. She married Joseph Lee Shotwell on Dec. 6, 1959 in Indianapolis. She was a 1952 graduate from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, retired as Vice President of the former People's Bank in Batesville, was a member of the Surviving Spouse's Club and an avid golfer. Mrs. Shotwell is survived by her daughters Barbara Pope of Clemmons, NC; Judith Shotwell of Lyndhurst, NJ; Tracy Thompson of Lewisville, NC; April Broughton of Carmel, IN & Andrea Heimkreiter of Celina, OH; sons William Tschopp of Lewisville, NC; Eric Shotwell of Brownsburg, IN & Joseph M. Shotwell of Arcadia, IN; brother Gordon Pickler of Montgomery, AL; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Lee Shotwell on May 28, 2000 and 1 grandson. Visitation will be Sunday, June 17, 2007 from 6-9pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Monday, June 18, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Batesville, IN with Rev. Larry Marhanka & Rev. Charles Flory officiating. Burial will be in the Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Joseph Lee Shotwell Memorials Scholarship Fund c/o the funeral home.
