Oda Vogt, age 82 of Batesville, IN passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. Born December 23, 1929 in Barbourville, KY she was the daughter of Lee & Eller (Smith) Broughton. Oda was a cook at Feltz Restaurant for 18 years and later cleaned for ForeThought. She married Melvin Vogt on Jan. 9, 1945 in New Port, KY and was a member of Adams Lutheran Church. Oda is survived by her daughter Beverly (Francis) Lamping of Oldenburg, IN and sons Harold (Wanda) Vogt, Raymond Vogt, Jerry (Glenda) Vogt all of Batesville, Larry Vogt of Indianapolis, IN & Robert Vogt of Loveland, OH. She will also be missed by her 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and siblings Delora Lawrence, Charlie, Jim, Carl, Buford & Randall Broughton. In addition to her husband who passed away Feb. 16, 1999, she was preceded in death by her siblings Viola Mills, Josie Roope, Russell, Bill & Leroy Broughton. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 5-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 10:00am at Adams Lutheran Church with Pastor Roger Tornes officiating. Burial will be in Adams Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Adams Lutheran Church Cemetery or Alzheimer's Assoc.
