Ouida June Barclay Westerfeld, 97, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018.  She is preceded in death by her husband, William Westerfeld; son, Brian Westerfeld; and son-in-law David Abplanalp.

Ouida, the daughter of Emerson L. and Clara Ethel Barclay, was born on June 19, 1921.  She grew up in Decatur County, IN before marrying Bill on February 15, 1942.  Together they raised four children, Pamela (David) Abplanalp of Columbus, IN, Barclay Westerfeld (Edie Nelson) of Westcliffe, CO, Brian (Joan) Westerfeld of Batesville, IN and Penni (Jim) Snodgrass of Indianapolis; 8 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

Bill and Ouida were long-time residents of Batesville and then Indianapolis, IN.  Most recently, Ouida has been a resident of Traditions of Reagan Park assisted-living facility.  Ouida had a number of roles and careers in her lifetime, but she relished her life-long calling as a wife, Mother, Granny, and Great Granny.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday September 29th at New Point Christian Church with visitation proceeding the service from 1:00 to 2:00.  Burial will be at Rossburg Cemetery in Decatur County, IN.
