Pauline Napier, age 83 of New Point, IN passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville, IN. Born November 24, 1929 in London, KY she was the daughter of Thearn & Katherine (Reed) Peterson. Her mother died young so her father then married Jessie Peterson. She married Hobert Napier on February 25, 1946 in London, KY. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1986. Mom was a strong and courageous woman. Her strength was gained from her strong belief in God. To occupy her time, mom enjoyed not only her family & friends, going to church, crocheting, gardening, reading the bible, word search, her countless flowers & bingo. Mom cared deeply for everyone she knew, whether it was family or friend. She had the kindest heart & the spirit of God transcended into her daily life. While our mother is no longer with us, she is with us in spirit & she will always be in our hearts. Pauline is survived by her daughters Betty (Sonny) Davis of Batesville, Abbie (Tim) Bell of Greensburg, Joyce (Brian) Cross of Greensburg and Peggy (Trevor) Cook of New Point and son James Napier of New Point. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Melissa Rork, David Shelton, Tyler Cook, Kylie Gregory & Kyle Bell, 7 great grandchildren and siblings Josephine Lilly of Indianapolis, Janice Wilson of Greensburg, Rosie Stinger of New Point & Ernie Peterson of New Point. In addition to her parents, step mother and husband, she was preceded in death by her children Barbara Ann Napier & Paul Kenneth Napier, brothers Tom, Eugene & Jim Peterson, and one grandson Terry Davis. Visitation will be Tuesday, June11, 2013 from 3pm until time of service at 5:30pm all at New Point Christian Church with Mark Vice officiating. Burial will follow in Rossburg Cemetery, New Point, IN.
