Pearl Vohland, age 83 of Batesville, IN formerly of Peppertown, IN passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Waters of Batesville.  Born August 8, 1932 in Breathitt County, KY she was the daughter of Robert & Sarah (Deaton) Riley.

The homemaker was a 1950 graduate of Batesville High School.  She married Big Jim Vohland and he preceded her in death.  Pearl loved to be around her kids & grandkids.  She loved to cook & bake and was famous for her chicken and dumplings and any dessert she would make, pies or cobblers.  She always had a big garden each year and loved breaking up green beans.

Pearl will be sadly missed by her family and is survived by her children James Vohland (Valarie), Jeanette Vohland (Jim), Pam Seale (Ron), Patricia Dudley (David), Tim Vohland (Donna) and Tom Vohland (Kimberly).  She will also be missed by her grandchildren Krissy & Andy, Tammy & Travis, Julie, Ricky & Samantha, Brandon & Derric and Alex & Taylor along with her great grandchildren Sarah, Emily & Caleb, Halle, Jackson, Will & Gus, Reilly, Parker, Ryan, Tyler & Kylie and Ethan & Harper.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings John, Blackman, Roy, Albert, Vernon, Wayne, Trickie, Roscoe, Maddie, Mal, Alpha, Mollie & Bea.
