Ray T. Carter, age 71 years of New Point, IN passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 in Greensburg, IN. Born March 18, 1936 in Berry, KY but raised in Greensburg, IN, he was the son of the late William & Lottie Carter. He retired from the former Mitchell Timber Co. He married Vivien Bostic on April 4, 1958 in Greensburg. He was a member of New Point Christian Church and former member of the Tree City Car Club. Mr. Carter is survived by his wife Vivien Carter; sons Denver Carter & Dwayne Carter both of Crawfordsville, IN & daughter Debbie (Jerry) Borgman of Batesville, IN; 3 granddaughters Daphnie Taylor, Nickie Mahon & Lorie Borgman; 5 Great Grandchildren: Brodie & Brock Mahon, Trenton, Karynn & Evan Taylor; brother Howard Carter of Milford, IN & sisters Betty Bryant & Ruby Herbert both of Greensburg, IN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by and infant son Alan Lane Carter and brother Vernon Carter. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 5, 2008 from 5-8pm at New Point Christian Church. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the church with Associate Minister Nathan Bright officiating. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
