Raymond Robert Bergman, age 76 years of Batesville, IN passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, IN. Born January 9, 1932 near Milan, IN he was the son of the late Edward & Dorothy (Behlmer)Bergman. He was former owner/operator of Bergman Store in Pierceville, IN & also farmed on his own farm. He was a 1950 graduate of Milan High School & a US Army Veteran of Korea. He married Elaine Berg on April 23, 1955 at Batesville United Methodist Church. He was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ "Finks" & he was former Sunday School Superintendent. Mr. Bergman is survived by his wife Elaine Bergman, daughters Renee (Michael) Ramig of Milan, IN & Raynell (David) Smith of Sunman, IN; grandchildren Joshua Ludeker, Daniel Raymond Smith, Nicole, Eric & Ashley Ramig; great grandchildren Olivia & Aiden Ludeker; brothers Donald Bergman of Muncie, IN & Kenneth Bergman of Milan, IN; sisters Mildren Huneke of Osgood, IN, Phyllis Rhodes of Noblesville, IN & Joan Hehe of Saltilo, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Jeremiah Ludeker. Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008 from 10am-1pm followed by services at 1:00 all at St. Peter United Church of Christ "Finks" with Rev. Karyl Leslie officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the St. Peter Building Fund.
