Rebecca I. "Becky" Shook, age 79 of Batesville, IN passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at her home. Born June 30, 1934 to Arvey & Mary (Stith) Webster of Sunman, IN. Both preceded her in death. Becky is survived by her beloved partner of many years, Charles "Charlie" Winburn of Batesville. She leaves four sons, Joseph (Sue) Shook, Barry "Butch" W. Shook, Kevin (Jennie) Shook, Brian "Scott" Shook and a daughter, Teri Lyn Hughes. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. She came from a large family of ten children. Becky graduated from Sunman High School and attended the University of Cincinnati School of Art and went on to be a professional Artist & Designer. She worked as a private contractor for several companies. After retiring in 1998, she and Charlie enjoyed the outdoors of fishing, boating, traveling, and still most of all art & design projects. Visitation will be Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 12 noon until time of services at 2pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN with Rev. Charles Flory officiating. Burial will follow at Methodist Cemetery in Batesville. Memorials are suggested to Phi Beta Psi Sorority for Cancer Research c/o the funeral home. The family is deeply grateful to many who offered their support, encouragement and strength during her battle with cancer and to the doctors and nurses of the Hansen Center.
