Obituary

IN MEMORY OF Robert S. Payne AKA Florida Bob, Captain Bob, and Dad Bob was an avid musician. (He even had his guitar with him when he served our country in Vietnam.) His greatest love was his electric guitar, his gift of singing, and his ability to sweep any willing woman off her feet and onto the dance floor. Closely following his love of music and dance was his love of fishing. He served 20 years in the United States Air Force retiring from Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, FL. After his service in the military, he worked many different jobs mostly as a handyman, and anyone who really knew him knew he could fix anything. Bob is survived by his two sons and daughters in law, TJ, Jody, Matt and Karen. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Kaila, Katelyn, Luke, Jake, and Rachel. He was a compassionate man that possessed an unforgettable smile. He never met a stranger and had many great friends that he loved and adored dearly. Bob seeked to find true happiness every day of his life. Not sure if he ever found it, only he would know, but he did leave this earth knowing he was truly loved and always would be. He passed away in the home of his son with both of his hands being held by his family that loved and adored him unconditionally. Robert S. Payne was born September 12, 1942 and went to be with our Lord on July 25, 2012. He will be forever missed and never forgotten.
