Robert Eugene Rentzel, age 66 of Batesville, IN passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 at The Waters of Batesville.  Born May 27, 1950 in Gettysburg, PA he was the son of Rosemary (Engdahl) & the late Donald Rentzel.

Robert is a 1968 graduate of York Suburban High School & graduate of West Chester University in Pennsylvania.  He served his country in the US Army during Vietnam.  He married Brenda Haas in Topton, PA on June 5, 1971.  Robert retired, after 25 years of service, from Hill-Rom working as a business analyst in the engineering service department.  He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and the American Legion Prell-Bland Post 271.

Robert will be missed by his wife Brenda Rentzel, his mother Rosemary Rentzel of York, PA, and his daughters Kristen Reed (David) of Dayton, OH and Jennifer Werner (Tony) of Batesville, IN.  He will also be missed by his grandchildren Andrew & Zachary Reed, Abby, Lauren & Brady Werner, his niece Lily Rentzel, his nephew Jared Grove and his sisters-in-law Tina Haas and Beth Rentzel. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother Gregory Rentzel.

Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2016 from 4-7pm followed by services at 7pm all at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN with Rev.
