Robert Harvey Wirth, age 85 of New Point, IN passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville, IN. He was born June 11, 1928 in Batesville, IN to Adolph & Mabel (Swango) Wirth. The WWII Navy Veteran was a member of St. John United Church of Christ Huntersville, Batesville Lodge 668 F&AM, Scottish Rite, Shrine Club & York Rite. Mr. Wirth is survived by his companion Jan Willcox, granddaughter Carol Ann Petty of California, 3 great grandchildren and sister Ada Meister of Morris, IN and ex-wife Joyce Lay. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Virginia Petty, his brothers Lawrence, Albert & Wallace Wirth and his sisters Bessie & Gladys Dwenger and Edna Sarringhaus. Memorial Services with the Rev. David Johnston officiating will be held Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 11:00am with Masonic Services at 10:30am. Military Funeral Rites will follow the services, all being at St. John United Church of Christ Huntersville. Burial will be at a later time in Rossburg Cemetery in New Point,IN. Memorials are suggested to St. John United Church of Christ Huntersville.
