Roberta Jean Mays, age 57 of Batesville, IN passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at her daughter's home in Batesville. Born June 25, 1955 in (Highland Park) Detroit, MI she is the daughter of Vernon & the late Christine (Smith) Cornett. The 1973 graduate of North Decatur High School worked for many years at BCA, 8 years at Hill-Rom and 16 years and was still currently employed at Valeo. She was a member of the New Point Christian Church. Roberta, a very devoted mother & grandmother, is survived by her children Rhonda Phillips and Christy (Mike) Lecher both of Batesville, IN, daughter-in-law Heather Mays of Batesville, IN,her father Vernon Cornett of New Point, IN, 9 grandchildren and sisters Teresa Moody of Osgood, IN and Cheryl Agapie of Sunman, IN. She was preceded in death by her mother Christine Cornett & son Joshua Mays. Visitation will be Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 6-8pm and services will be Monday at 12 noon all at New Point Christian Church with Mark Vice officiating.
