Ronald Louis Gillman, age 70 of Batesville, IN passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at his home. Born March 23, 1941 in Batesville, IN but raised in St. Peter, IN he was the son of the late Clarence & Esther (Back) Gillman. He retired from Paul Casket Co as a casket salesman and had also worked for Batesville Casket Co for many years. Ron served on the Margaret Mary Community Hospital Board, was a former little league coach and helped start the soccer program in Batesville with the Kiwanis. Ron married Carolyn Wisker and she preceded him in death on Sept. 13, 1981. He then remarried Mellonne Moeller. Ron is survived by his wife Mellonne Gillman, sons Tom (Sheri) Gillman & Chris (Patti) Gillman and daughters Joan (John) Brockman & Jenny (Kirk Gibbons) Gillman, stepsons Chad (Paulla) Moeller & Trevor (Laurie) Moeller. He will also be missed by his 20 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and sisters Jayne (Leon) Enneking & Peggy (Charles) Peters. In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by his sister Elaine Hoog. Visitation will be Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 6-9pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Monday, November 14, 2011 at 10:00am at St. Louis Church with Fr. Dennis Duvelius officiating. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery, Batesville.
