Ronald Allen Rieke, age 82 of Harrison, OH passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Born January 15, 1930 in Cincinnati, OH he was the son of Harry & Clara (Shorr) Rieke. He graduated from Miami Edison High School in Miami, FL, married Norma Jean Barnett on March 25, 1978 in Mt. Carmel, OH and is a member of the Miamitown Baptist Church. Ronald was big on doing family things. He was known as a great husband, dad, grandfather, great grandfather and will be missed dearly. He loved the water & going boating, mostly to Clear Lake. He started going with his parents in 1937 and this continued until recently. Mr. Rieke is survived by his wife Norma Jean Rieke, children Ronda Ann (Michael) McQueen of Harrison, OH, Brooke (Ryan) Shelton of Hidden Valley, IN, Sheree (Tony) Upton of Midland, OH & Deborah Starr of Cincinnati, OH. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Ashley, Teri, Lindsey, Rockell, Dakota, Tori, Mya, Kevin, Michael, Jeana, Shane & Taylor, 12 great grandchildren, sister-in-laws Joyce Costa, Carol Christman & Shirlee James, brother-in-law Ronald (Sue) Barnett and 9 nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren Brandon, Amanda & Matthew. Visitation will be Monday, June 11, 2012 from 11am until time of service at 1pm all at Miamitown Baptist Church, 5830 St. Rt. 128, Miamitown, OH 45041 with Pastor Joe Crumpler officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Blue Ash. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Assoc. or American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home which can be brought to the visitation/service or mailed to the funeral home.
