Ronald "Bud" W. Gunter, age 45 of Batesville, IN passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011 in Dearborn County, IN. Born February 18, 1966 in Batesville, he is the son of Mary (Hummell) & the late Mervin Gunter. Bud was an avid Harley Davidson rider and loved being outdoors. He was born and raised on a farm and although not a farmer, he knew the farming life. He was a camper who loved to cook, grill out and eat. Lots of folks knew him from his work as a road-grader for the Highway Dept. which he enjoyed doing very much. He liked vacationing in Tennessee, mostly Gatlinburg. His family said he will be most remembered as a loving family man. His family meant everything to him and he will be sadly missed by them and all his friends. Bud married Linda Sloan in Gatlinburg, TN on May 6, 2000 and was a member of Adams Lutheran Church. Ronald is survived by his mother Mary Gunter, wife Linda (Sloan) Gunter, daughter Jessica Gunter of Batesville, IN, stepson Jason Meyers of Batesville, IN; granddaughters Hanna & Kiara Meyers and many nieces & nephews. He will also be missed by his brothers and sister-in-laws Donald & Brenda Gunter, Daryl & Amy Gunter and Randy Gunter and sister and brother-in-law Sheryl & Steve Shane all of Batesville. Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2011 from 4-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10:00am at Adams Lutheran Church, south of Batesville on Adams Church Road with Pastor William Powlen officiating. Burial will be in Adams Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family c/o the funeral home.
