Ronald Carl Wachsmann, age 67 years of Batesville, IN passed away Friday, February 23, 2007 in Batesville. Born February 24, 1940 in Batesville he was the son of the late Carl & Mabel (Steinkamp) Wachsmann. He graduated from Batesville High School in 1958. Mr. Wachsmann was long time owner/operator of Western Auto in Batesville, member of the Eureka Band; past President of Batesville Chamber of Commerce in 1974 and a US Army Veteran. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ where he was a past council member, organist, director and sang in the men's choir. He married Arlene Klene on July 15, 1961 at St. John UCC. Mr. Wachsmann is survived by his wife Arlene Wachsmann, son David (Michelle) Wachsmann of Batesville and grandchildren Tyler, Molly & Sadie Wachsmann. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Michael Wachsmann. Visitation will be Sunday, February 25, 2007 from 12-2 PM at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Services will be Sunday at 2:30 PM at St. John United Church of Christ with Rev. David Johnston officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. John UCC.
