Saundra Lou Nobbe, age 75 of Batesville, IN passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 at The Waters of Batesville. Born on March 15, 1939 in Hamilton, OH she was the daughter of Eva Ellen Peters. She married James Leo Nobbe on September 2, 1967 at St. Louis Catholic Church where she is also a member. Saundra spent her time playing bridge and antiquing, when she wasn't volunteering. She had quite the collection of milk glass. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Rural Aliance of the Arts (RAA). She was Volunteer of the year for the RAA and for the Margaret Mary Community Hospital Guild. Saundra worked on various charitable foundations, she liked giving back. She really enjoyed her time as Penny Mae, the clown, with the Tri-County Caring Clowns working with the kids, making balloon animals and making them smile. Her accolades also include Businesswoman of the Year and helping to start various town festivals. In more recent years, she spent her time as the Laugherty Township Trustee. Saundra is survived by her husband James Leo Nobbe, her daughter and husband, Natasha & John Kellerman and her son and his wife, James Leo II & Jenney Nobbe all of Batesville. She will also be missed by her grandsons Augustus Kellerman & Leo Nobbe. Funeral Mass will be 11:00am on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Batesville, IN with Fr. Damian Cesanek officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Louis Church Cemetery. There is no visitation prior to funeral.
