Sonya Lynn Hensley, age 48 of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020. The daughter of Neil Hensley and Shirley Meyers was born on March 11, 1972 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Sonya enjoyed painting and all listening to all kinds of music. She was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church at Penntown. The ocean was one of her favorite things. She always liked being on the beach in her flip flops.  Most of all she loved being around her family, especially her grandkids and will be dearly missed by many.

She is survived by her three sons, Phillip Brayton Fenker, Brandon Fenker and Bradley Fenker; four grandchildren, Gracie, Leo, Gage and Parker; two sisters, Shawna Marksberry (Larry) and Ashley Gunter (Jeremy); step sister, Sonja Taylor (Jerry); three step brothers, Joe Byrd, Adam Meyers and Travis Meyers (Julie); along with her parents and step parents, Neil & JoAnn Hensley and Shirley & Daryl Meyers.

She was preceded in death by her infant son Tyler Fenker.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 12-2pm with 2:00pm funeral services immediately following all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. Kenny Mobley officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Sunman.

Memorials may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses, by bringing to service or mailing to, Meyers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 202, Batesville, IN 47006.

In accordance with the Indiana COVID-19 precautions, all attending are encouraged to wear a mask and follow proper social distancing protocol. If you are not feeling well, or if you have compromised immune system, you are encouraged to stay home.
