Sylvia Mary Holman, age 84 of Peppertown, IN passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at University of Cincinnati Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. She was born on March 5, 1930 in Robertson, KY and was the daughter of Earl & Lizzie (King) Wheeler. Sylvia graduated from Demming High School in Mt. Olivet, KY in 1948 and then went on to Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary where she graduated in 1952. She taught Sunday School in Cincinnati and later in Metamora. She was a member of Batesville Christian Church and former member of Metamora Church of Christ. Sylvia is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband JC Holman, who preceded her in death in October 1997, her sister Margaret Nye, her sister-in-law Venora Holman, her brother Earl Wheeler and her half brother Norris Wheeler. Visitation will be Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 12 noon until time of funeral services at 2:00 pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN with Pastor Robert McCreary & Steve Yeaton officiating. Burial will follow services at Shelby Cemetery just south of Versailles, IN. Memorials are suggested to either Metamora Church of Christ or Batesville Christian Church c/o the funeral home.
