Thelma V. Bertram, age 93 years of Batesville, IN passed away Saturday, June 25, 2005 at Hospitality Hall in Batesville. Born November 3, 1911 in Decatur County, IN she was the daughter of the late John & Bertha (Gilbert) Wiechers. She was first married to Robert Ake in 1936, then Harvey Smith in 1957, then Herbert Bertram in 1988 and they all preceded her in death. She was a member of the Batesville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Bertram is survived by her daughter Roberta Breazeale of Demorest, GA; stepdaughter Edith Zimmer of Batesville, IN; stepsons Leslie Smith of Batesville, IN and Paul Smith of Muncie, IN. She will also be missed by her 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was also preceded in death by her brothers Edward & Dale Wiechers. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29, 2005 from 5-7pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 10:00am at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Marhanka officiating. Burial will be in Rossburg Cemetery in New Point, IN. Memorials are suggested to Hospitality Hall c/o the funeral home.
