Thelma J. Huey, 66, of Harrison, OH passed away peacefully with her husband, Eldon, by her side, Saturday, July 2, 2011 at University Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. The daughter of Matt and Emie (Couch) Spencer was born on November 23, 1944 in Beattyville, KY. She married Eldon Huey on October 26, 1974 in Grosebeck, OH and together they raised five wonderful and loving children. Thelma owned and operated Bright Four Seasons Landscape and Nursery for 10 years after she retired from Andrew Jergens Company, and was a member of St. John the Baptist Church in Harrison. The very outgoing lady loved to play golf, vacation and entertain friends and family. She always was concerned with how everyone else was doing and never wanted the focus to be on her. She and her husband had wintered in Panama City Beach, Florida with friends for the last six years. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be truly missed by her husband and best friend, Eldon Huey; her loving children Patricia Schaden (Kurt) of Chicago, IL, Hugh Belt (Elizabeth) of Harrison, OH, Todd Belt of Bright, Michael Huey (Christa) of Chicago, IL and Chris Huey (Nanette) of Fairfield Township, OH; her dear grandchildren Brandon & Taylor Schaden, Jack, Colin, Matthew & Luke Belt, Emily Belt, Collin & Evan Huey, Austin, Jillian & Adelyn Huey; along with her siblings Geneva Balian (Alex) of Bright, IN, Clifton Spencer of Moscow, OH, and Tony Spencer of Cincinnati, OH; and her lifelong best friend, Margie Webster, and her many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Herman & William Spencer and sister, Jean Maxey. The family would like to thank West Chester Hospital and University Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion during this difficult time. The family would also like to especially thank Dr. Tahir Latif and Dr. Olivier Rixe for their heroic and valiant efforts over the last year. Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family with Father Bill Dorrman officiating. Burial to follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Harrison, OH. Memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
