Thomas E. Williams of Batesville, Indiana passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 at the age of 81. He was born on September 3, 1943 in New Brighton, Pennsylvania as the son of Clifford LeRoy and Lois (Morrow) Williams.

Tom was a devoted Marine who served his nation with courage and commitment from 1966 to 1972. He married MarDell Main in 1996 and she survives. He was a letter carrier and iron worker for many years. Tom was a member of the VFW Post 3183 and the Community Church of Batesville. He also belonged to the Ironworkers Local Union 372 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was always seen at the bowling alley or enjoying a round of golf.

He is survived by his loving wife, MarDell; children: Nixie (Jack Rainbolt) Williams and Cooper Williams; grandchildren: Meric Hopkins and Scottie Grossman; brother, TC (Sharon) Williams; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Junior Williams, Betty Keith, and Midge Wilson.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 3:00-6:00pm with a 6:00pm service immediately following with Pastor Steve Yeaton officiating, all at Meyers Funeral Home. Military honors conducted by the Batesville VFW Post #3183 and Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271 to follow. Burial will take place in Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 11:00am.
