Timothy Russell Uphaus, age 53 of Batesville, IN passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Margaret Mary Health Hospital. The son of Russell & Frances (Bass) Uphaus was born on September 4, 1961 in Killeen, TX. Tim graduated from Batesville High School in 1979. On July 9, 2002 he married Lisa Sweet in Gatlinburg, TN. He worked for Ron Fitzpatrick Construction for 20 years. Tim loved being outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing or gardening. He especially enjoyed time he spent teaching Ryan and Lisa how to hunt & fish and doing them all together. Tim also liked being with his friends. Though he loved the outdoors, he did not really like when his family would vacation at the ocean, but his wife made him do it anyway. Tim will be missed by many. Tim is survived by his wife, Lisa and son Ryan Land, along with his aunts & uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 11am-1pm immediately followed by the funeral service at 1pm, all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN. Pastor Dennis Werner officiating. Burial will follow in the Batesville United Methodist Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be given to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
