Velma E. Belter, age 85 years of Batesville, IN passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. Born April 5, 1923 in Batesville, she was the daughter of the late Vernon & Edna (Richter) Gunter. She married Alvin L. Belter on May 10, 1941 at St. Paul Lutheran Church Crossroads, where she is currently a member. Mrs. Belter is survived by her daughter Patricia (Robert) Bischoff of Greensburg, IN & sons Larry (Rosie) Belter & Dennis (Carol) Belter both of Batesville, IN; sister LaVonne Huber of Sunman, IN & brothers Harold, Mervin, Estal & Ken Gunter. She will also be missed by 9 grandchildren & 22 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Belter & brothers Bobby, Allen & Dale Gunter. Visitation will be Friday, April 11, 2008 from 5-8pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 10:00 AM all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN with Pastor Robin Owen officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Church Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Margaret Mary Community Hospital Hospice.
