Venora M. Holman, age 91 years of Peppertown, IN passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010 at her home. Born September 20, 1918 in Southern Ripley County, IN she is the daughter of the late Clifford C. & Ethel (Campbell) Holman. She was a graduate of Oldenburg High School in 1936 and 1938 graduate of Marian College which was in Oldenburg, IN at that time. The retired elementary school teacher taught for 38 years in the Franklin County School District. She played piano for many years at the Metamora Church of Christ where she was a member since she was 11 years old. She was also a member of the Faithful Workers Group at church. Ms. Holman is survived by many nieces & nephews and a sister-in-law Sylvia Holman of Peppertown, IN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Vivian Stirn and brother J.C. Holman. Visitation will be Monday, March 8, 2010 from 5-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 11:00am at Metamora Church of Christ with Pastors Robert McCreary & James Burgess officiating. Burial will be in Shelby Cemetery, south of Versailles, IN. Memorials are suggested to Margaret Mary Community Hospital Hospice or Metamora Church of Christ c/o the funeral home.
