Vernon Edward Koenigkramer, 83 of the New Point, IN area, passed away Friday, January 09, 2015 at his home. He was born June 21, 1931 on his parent's farm, Roy & Lois (Walsman) Koenigkramer, near New Point, IN. He served his country in the US Air Force during Korea, was a lifelong farmer and drove a school bus for 20 years for the Decatur County School Corp. He was first married to Peggy Gray, then married Hazel Bladen and is now married to Doris Weber. Vernon attended the New Point Christian Church, was a member of the Batesville VFW, Greensburg American Legion, Knights of Pythias and active in the Gideon's. Vernon is survived by his wife Doris Koenigkramer; his children Crystal Harpring, Anita (Mike) Wessel, Rusty (Betty) Koenigkramer, Sharon (Late Michael) Crawford, Barbara (Larry) Snyder, Larry (Late Martha Jean) Koons, Christine Wietlisbach, John Alan Wietlisbach and Doug (Heather) Wietlisbach. He will also be missed by his sisters Ella McKelvey and Sandra Haley along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Vernon was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Cecil Koenigkramer, 2 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 2pm until time of services at 6pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN with Mark Vice officiating.
