Vincent Miles Smith, age 38 years of Versailles, MO formerly of Batesville, IN passed away Thursday, August 6, 2009 in Versailles, MO. Born April 23, 1971 in Lafayette, IN he is the son of Robert Jr. & Sheila (Marr) Smith. Vince was a 1989 graduate of Batesville High School and was a runner in Track and Cross Country. He was an avid motorcycle rider and member of the Missouri Patriot Guard in Versailles. Vince liked to work on motorcycles, cars and boats, restoring them. He was a US Navy Veteran of Dessert Storm. Vince is survived by his parents Robert Jr. & Sheila Smith of Batesville, IN, son Andrew Smith of Milan, IN, maternal grandmother Mary Marr of Attica, IN & paternal grandparents Robert L. Sr. & Alice Smith of Rossville, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 12, 2009 from 4-7pm followed by services at 7:00pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN with Rev. Charles Flory officiating. Military Funeral Rites will follow services Wednesday evening. Memorials are suggested to the Andrew Smith Education Fund c/o the funeral home.
