Virginia J. Lunsford, age 77 years of Batesville, IN passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in Cincinnati, OH. Born March 17, 1933 in St. Mary, KY she was the daughter of the late William Butler & Julia (Harris) Jones. She married Charles Raymond Lunsford and was a member of the Church of Christ, most recently attending the St. Leon Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and also worked for over 30 years in various hospitals as a nursing assistant. She was head of the dining area of the Infield Club in Cape Cod, MA on the Otis Air Force Base. Both Virginia & her husband loved doing many things. They enjoyed bowling and fishing and Virginia also liked to knit, crochet, reading, doing crafts and being outdoors. Her family said she was a good cook. Virginia was also a very wonderful wife, mother, sister & grandmother. Mrs. Lunsford is survived by her husband Charles Lunsford, daughter Susan Craddock of Batesville, IN; sons Wayne & Vondetta Lunsford of Clarksville, IN & Ben Lunsford of Lebanon, KY. She will also be missed by her brothers Jim & Bobby Jones, grandchildren Kim Inabnit, April Frye, Andrew Craddock, and Cameron Lunsford and Great Grandchildren Karly, Madilyn, Logan, & Cooper Frye and Kristin & Lauren Inabnit. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Ethal Drury, Regina Phillips, Lillian Hainsworth, Cleta Mae Jones, Earl Jones, Joe Jones, Brown Jones & Buddy Jones, and granddaughter Stephani Craddock. Visitation will be Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 1-3pm followed by services at 3pm all at the St. Leon Church of Christ in St. Leon, IN with Charlie Blevins officiating. Burial will be Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, IN.
