Virginia Frances Meyers, age 84 years of Versailles, IN formerly Batesville, IN passed away Saturday, July 29, 2006 in Batesville. Born April 10, 1922 in Indianapolis, IN she was the daughter of the late Harry & Ida (Fisher) Davis. She married Paul Meyers on May 9, 1942 in Brookville, IN. Mrs. Meyers was a 1940 graduate of St. Paul High School, an active volunteer for Teachers Treasures in Indianapolis & member of the Phi Beta Psi Sorority and order of Eastern Star Chapter 348 in Batesville. Mrs. Meyers is survived by her children Jane Pratt of Indianapolis, IN; Sue (Jeff) French of Versailles, IN & David (Mary Ann) Meyers of Thomasville, GA; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and sister Doris Leffler of Shelbyville, IN. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Helen Jones, Viola Benge & Marilyn Dearinger and her brother Howard Davis. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 1, 2006 from 12 noon until time of service at 2:00 P.M. all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville, IN with Rev. Bill Benge officiating. Burial will be in St. John (Huntersville) Cemetery in Batesville. Memorials are suggested to Phi Beta Psi for Cancer Research.
