Walter Lee Fightmaster, age84 of Fairfield, OH formerly of Batesville, IN, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2016 at his home in Fairfield.  Born February 17, 1932 in Cincinnati he was the son of Jack & Ercel (Cunbiff) Fightmaster.

He was married to Mary Jane Fouch on June 20, 1953 in Lawrenceburg, IN.  The member of St. John United Church of Christ in Batesville worked for US Shoe and later he worked at McDonald's in Batesville.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane Fightmaster in 2008 and 4 brothers & sisters.  Walter is survived by his sons Michael Cornett (Debbie) of Dillsboro, IN and Phillip Fightmaster (Linda) of Fairfield, OH.  He will also be missed by his grandchildren Mindy Breyer, Phillip James "PJ" Fightmaster, Alina Fightmaster, Michell Brown & Michael Cornett and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5:00pm until time of memorial services at 6:00pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN with Pastor Dennis Frische-Mouri officiating.  His cremains will be buried at a later date in St. John Cemetery.   Memorials are suggested to St. John United Church of Christ c/o Meyers Funeral Home, P.O.
