Wendell Lee Banks, age 65 of W. Harrison, IN passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 in W. Harrison. Born June 12, 1945 in Oneida, KY he was the son of the late Carl & Lillie (Edwards) Banks. He married Evelyn Rose Bowman on May 13, 1966 in Greendale, IN and was a member of the Chappelow Ridge Baptist Church. Wendell is survived by his wife Evelyn Rose Banks, children Denise Fox of Harrison, OH, Kimberly Sue Banks of W. Harrison, IN & Larry Lee (Jackie) Banks of W. Harrison, IN. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Hannah & Grace Fox and siblings Yvonne (Berdette) Sandlin of Harrison, OH, Dallas (Carolyn) Banks of Saylor Park, OH, Hank (Sandy) Banks of Dover, IN, Joe (Barb) Banks of Harrison, OH & Wanda (David) Hensley of Orlando, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Banks and brother Lonnie Banks. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 31, 2011 from 5-8pm at Chappelow Ridge Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at 10:30 am at Chappelow Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Errol Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Gibson Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family c/o the funeral home.
