William Joseph Barry, Jr. age 80 years of Bright, IN passed away Friday, November 19, 2004 in Cincinnati, OH. Born June 1, 1924 in Jersey City, NJ the son of William Sr. & Elizabeth (McFadden) Barry. He married Merlinda Marce on April 20, 1986. Mr. Barry, a US Marine Corp Veteran of WWII, was a carpenter mill wright, a member of the St. Theresa Benedicta in Bright, IN, American Legion and VFW both in Batesville, IN, the DAV in Cincinnati, OH and 1st Marine Div. Assoc. He is survived by his children Billie Jean Barry of Bright, IN; Magdalena Marce of Annapolis, MD; Maureen of New York, William, Robert, Dennis & Jimmy Barry all of New Jersey; sisters Florence Schulte of Batesville, IN; Irene Nugent of North Carolina; brother Jimmy Barry of New Jersey and several grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by a son Kevin Barry and sister Margaret Barry. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 22, 2004; 10:00 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville, IN with Father Christiaan Kappes officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery with graveside military rites. Memorials are suggested to American Kidney Assoc. or American Diabetes Assoc.
