William Ray Hauger, age 65 of New Point, IN passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Heritage House of Greensburg. He was born on February 1, 1950 in New Castle, IN to Ray & Mary (Hopkins) Hauger. William was a 1968 graduate of Knightstown High School and worked for RCA as a material handler. He served his country during Vietnam in the US Army. He married Shirley Deboard on October 23, 1984 in Jellico, TN. William was a member of the New Point Christian Church and the Knightstown American Legion. William is survived by his wife Shirley Hauger; children Angie Hauger, Daniel Hauger, Lisa Sledge, Christie Hauger and Tammy Hauger; stepchildren Phillip Walton, Kari Dean, Christi Walton and Tonya Walton and his brother Ray Beck along with several grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children Maria Hauger and William Hauger. Visitation will be Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:00am followed by funeral services at 11:00 all at New Point Christian Church with Mark Vice officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Carthage, IN with Military Graveside Rites. Memorials are suggested to New Point Christian Church c/o Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN.
