William "Buddy" Earl Mays, age 58 passed away Sunday morning, April 12, 2015 at his home in Moores Hill, IN. Born February 25, 1957 in Batesville, IN he was the son of the late Brenton & Edra (Stanifer) Mays. He worked for Billman Trucking as an over-the-road truck driver. Buddy loved being outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting and even has many scars to show for it. He never knew a stranger and could make any one laugh. Buddy had lots of family and friends, but his grandchildren were exta special to him. He will be missed very much. Buddy is survived by his partner Nancy Rumsey; his daughter Amy (Tito) Hernandez; step children Adam (Melinda) Rumsey and Ryan (Virginia) Rumsey. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Edwin and Isaiah Hernandez, Kaylee, Trenton, Wyatt & Carlee Rumsey along with his brothers Jack (Janet) Mays, Robert (Linda) Mays and Richard (Mayasri Effenda) Mays. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Mick (Mary) Mays and his sister Donna Brotherton. Visitation will be Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 2-4pm followed by memorial services at 4pm all at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, IN. Memorials are suggested to the funeral home to offset funeral cost.
