Zola M. Schumacher, age 92 years of Batesville, IN passed away Thursday, November 2, 2006 in Batesville. Born January 20, 1914 in Batesville, IN she was the daughter of the late George & Mary Lieu (Owen) Schumacher. She retired from Romweber but worked most of her life in Indianapolis at Estherlein-Angus. She was a US Army Veteran during WWII & she was one of the first wemen in the WACS. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church & church choir in Batesville, member of Order Eastern Star Chapter 348 in Batesville & American Legion in Batesville. Ms. Schumacher is survived by her niece Owenita Grubert, nephew Michael Schumacher and great nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters June & Edith Schumacher & brother Owen Schumacher. Visitation will be Sunday, November 5, 2006 from 2-4 pm followed by services at 4:00 PM all at St. Mark Lutheran Church with Pastor Thomas Wietzel officiating. OES Services will be at 3 PM. Military Funeral Rites will follow the funeral on Sunday. Family Graveside Services will be held Monday at Greendale Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
